The minutes of the last meeting were proposed as a correct record by Cllr S. Howard and seconded by Cllr M. Belfield.
- Matters Arising
No progress on signage for Back Lane.
Appeal against enforcement notice at Fox’s Croft has been heard, awaiting decision.

- DET/2022/0046 Hawthorn House, Thorncliffe Lane, Blackshaw Moor, Leek. Application to determine if prior approval is required for proposed conversion of barn and attatched storage into single large dwellingThe council are in favour of the conversion and support the application.

Proposed Demolition of Poultry Shed and Bull Pen and the construction of a replacement building for the use as a CatteryThe council are in favour of and support this application. It was noted that this will provide an amenity that is needed in the area.
- Financial
- Budget and PreceptAfter discussion it was agreed that two additional items should be added to the budget. These are Defibrillator consumables £120 and General Maintenance £150.
It was agreed that the Band D charge for the parish should remain at £21. As the tax base has increased this will result in a slight increase of the precept, from £2142 to £2205. The forecast bank balance for the end of year 2023/24 is now £2,605 an increase of £105.

- Correspondence
- Code of Conduct revision.The council’s Code of Conduct is based on the SMDC Code of Conduct which has been revised. An updated version will be distributed for formal approval at the next meeting.
The Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime is requesting views, through a survey, on the level of precept to set. The survey is open until 16th January.

- ElectionsThis is an election year. The elections will be held on 4th Details of process and timetable will be provided when these are known.
Signs that have been erected on the verge at the junction of Thorncliffe Lane and the Buxton Road (A53) obscure the view of oncoming traffic when leaving Thorncliffe Lane. Clerk to contact Highways.
