The matter was discussed. No adverse comments made or received. Clerk to write to planning.
b. SMD/2024/0380 Methodist Church, Ankors Lane, Thorncliffe, ST13 7LP This application is for change of use from chapel (use class D1) to residential dwelling (use class C3).
The matter was discussed with the applicants. It would appear that Highways have indicated that on-road parking is acceptable as this was the previous arrangement. (This position confirmed with Highways following the meeting). Following some discussion the outcome was:
No objections in principle to the conversion;
Notwithstanding the view of Highways concerns were strongly expressed that on-road parking will create a hazard and impede traffic flow.
The make, model and exact position of the waste treatment plant should be specified so that it can be determined if it is feasible and environmentally acceptable.
Clerk to write to planning.
