a. SMD/2023/0018 Methodist Church, Ankors Lane, Thorncliffe. Application for change of use from chapel (use class D1) and conversion to residential dwelling (use class C3) of the existing building, The conversion includes the renovation of the building into a 2 bedroom home used for holiday let.
The view of the council is that although there are no objections in principle to the conversion there are a numbers of concerns. Off-road parking is essential and proposed use of the verge is unsuitable and inappropriate. There is insufficient space for the proposed sewage treatment plant. There privacy concerns regarding the proposed roof terrace. The council cannot support the application and recommends refusal.
4. Financial
Chair requested a review of the clerk’s renumeration.
Bank balance £2,861-63.
5. Correspondence
An e-mail has been received regarding Neighbourhood watch schemes. The e-mail was unclear about what action is being requested and therefore no action at present.
6. Any other business
a. Code of Conduct
Adoption of the revised code of conduct was proposed by Cllr. S. Howard and seconded by Cllr. M. Belfield. Unanimously approved.
